Robert Allenby was born on July 12th, 1971 in Melbourne, Australia. He turned pro in 1992 and won the Australian Order of Merit the following year He repeated this feat two years later and has won a total on nine tournaments in his home country. He has had to overcome several injuries in his career.
Allenby moved on to the European Tour where he won four tournaments before trying his luck in America. His first season on the PGA Tour was a struggle but he bounced back by winning two tournaments in 2000 and 2001. He has played in eight playoffs in his career and won them all. |
