The Japanese Grand Prix takes place in September and is raced over 53 laps of the Fuji Speedway Circuit in Mount Fuji, Japan. It moved here for the 2007 race. The Fuji Television Japanese Grand Prix was the final race of the season until 2004.

There was a mixed reaction to the change in track and many drivers were disappointed by the news. The race was first staged in 1976 and Michael Schumacher has the most victories with 6. The current champion of the race is Lewis Hamilton.
