The Bahrain Grand Prix was first staged in 2004 and became the first Formula One race to take place in the Middle East. It takes place in April and is held at the Bahrain International Circuit, Sakhir in Manama. It is raced over a total of 57 laps.
The official name of the race is the Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix. The current champion is Felipe Massa who won the race for a second year running. Robert Kubica strated on pole position but was overtaken by Massa on the very first lap. |
