Sporting Lisbon play in the BWINLIGA in Portugal. They were founded in 1906 and play in green and white hoops with black shorts. They play their home games in the Jose Alvalade Stadium which has a capacity of 52,000. The full name is Sporting Clube de Portugal.

Sporting Lisbon are one of the most famous and successful teams from Portugal. Their greatest achievement came when they won the Cup Winners Cup in 1964 and they were also runners up in the 2005 UEFA Cup. They have had very little success in recent Champions League campaigns.
