Lokomotiv Moscow play in the Russian Premier League. They were founded in 1923 and play in all red football strip. They play their home games in the Lokomotiv Stadium which has a capacity of 28,800. They reached the 2nd round of the Champions League in 2003 and 2004.

In 2003 Lokomotiv Moscow finished bottom of the second group stage managing to gain only one point. The following season they finished above Inter in the group stage beating them 3 - 0 at home at drawing 1 - 1 away. They then lost narrowly to Monaco in the second round on away goals.
