Club Bruge play in the Belgian First Division (Jupiter League). They were founded in 1891 and play in a blue and black striped kit. Club Bruge play their home games in the Jan Breydel Stadium which has a capacity of 30,000. They were runners up in the 1978 European Cup.

Club Bruge are one of the leading teams from Belgium and qualify for European Competitions on a regular basis. They have been unable to win any trophies but have played in the group stages of the Champions League. Their best run in the UEFA Cup came in 2004 when they reached the 4th Round.
