Athletico Bilbao play in La Liga in Spain. They were founded in 1898 and play in red and white vertically striped shirts, black shorts and black socks. Athletico Bilbao play their home games at the San Mames, better known as 'The Cathedral'. It has a capacity of 40,000.
Athletico Bilbao have not been regular competitors in European Competitions and have failed to win any of the major European trophies. The last time they played in Europe was in 2004-05 when they qualified to play in the UEFA Cup. |
