Walsall currently play their football in League One and are nicknamed the Saddlers. They are managed by Jimmy Mullen . They play their home games at the Bescott Stadium which has a capacity of 11,300. They first moved to their new ground in 1990.

Walsall have had a real dip in the past few seasons. It was not long ago they were playing their football in the Championship. However in 2004 they finished 22nd and were relegated to League One. Then just two seasons later they suffered another relegation resulting in them playing in League Two.
