Stockport County currently play their football in League Two and are nicknamed the Hatters. They are managed by Jim Gannon. They play their home games at Edgeley Park which has a capacity of 10,651. They came very close to being relegated to the Conference in 2006.
Stockport County were just minutes away from being relegated to the Conference until a last minute goal by Leyton Orient against Oxford United saw Oxford relegated instead. This saved Stockport from consecutive relegation's after they finished 24th in League One the previous season. |
