Southampton currently play their football in the Championship and are nicknamed the Saints. They are currently managed by Jan Poortvliet. They play their home games at the St.Mary's Stadium which has a capacity of 32,552. They won the FA Cup in 1976 and were Runners Up in 2003.

Southampton spent an impressive 27 years in the top flight and were consistent Premiership performers until a poor season in 2005 saw them finish bottom and get relegated to the Championship. They have had lots of managers in recent seasons which has led to their downfall.
