Reading are based in Berkshire and were formed in 1871. They play there home games at the Madjeski Stadium which is named after their chairman. They moved to the ground in 1998 and it has a capacity of 24,045. They are currently managed by Steve Coppell who was hired in 2003.

Reading reached the top flight of English Football for the first time in their history in 2006 when they won the Championship in convincing style. They won promotion earlier than any team since the war and finished the season with a massive 106 points.
