Leicester City were formed in 1884 and are nicknamed the Foxes. They moved to their home ground the Walkers Stadium in 2002 after 111 years at Filbert Street. Leicester currently play in League One. The club was recently taken over by Millionaire Milan Mandaric.

Leicester City have won the League Cup three times in 1964, 1997 and 2000 and have finished runners-up in the F.A Cup four times. Leicester's most successful era came under manager Martin O'Neill who got the club promoted to the Premiership in 1996 in his first time of asking.

The 2007/08 season was a disaster for Leicester. They had three full time managers in Martin Allen, Gary Megson and Ian Holloway. The instability proved crucial as they were relegated on the final day of the season. It is the first time Leicester have played in the third tier of English football.
