Hull City Football Club were formed in 1904. They are nicknamed the Tigers as they play in a black and amber striped kit. They are managed by Phil Brown. They play their home games at the KC Stadium (Kingston Communications Stadium) which has a capacity of 25,404.

Hull moved to their new stadium in December 2002 just weeks after appointing Peter Taylor as manager. The following year they were promoted to League One after finishing runners up. In 2005 they again finished runners up to claim back to back promotions.

Hull City had a remarkable season in 2007/08 winning promotion to the Premier League for the first time ever. They finished the season 3rd in the Championship but gained promotion through the playoffs thrashing Watford in the semi finals and then beaten Bristol City at Wembley.
