Huddersfield Town currently play their football in League One and are nicknamed the Terriers. They are managed by Stan Ternent who took over in 2007. They play their home games at the Galpharm Stadium which has a capacity of 24,500. In 1926 they won three successive league titles.

Huddersfield Town have been up and down in recent seasons. In 2003 they were relegated to the bottom league but managed to bounce back at their first attempt via the playoffs. Manager Peter Jackson led the club to the playoffs in 2006 but left the club for a second time the following year.

Huddersfield Town had an excellent run in the FA Cup in 2007/08 reaching the 5th Round. It included a superb home win over Premier League side Birmingham City in the 3rd Round. They eventually went out out Chelsea losing 1 - 3.
