Crewe Alexandra currently play their football in League One and are nicknamed the Railwaymen. Steve Holland is the new first team coach. They play their home games at Gresty Road which has a capacity of 10,046. Long serving manager Dario Gradi has now become the clubs Technical Director.

Crewe appointed Gradi in June 1983 and he has done an excellent job with limited resources. Crewe's success has been based on their youth system with a whole host of talented players emerging. They recently spent three seasons in the Championship before being relegated to League One in 2006.
