Saudi Arabia are one of the most successful sides in Asia. They are regarded as the new comers on the World Scene having qualified for the last four World Cups. Saudi Arabia reached the second round of the World Cup in 1994. They were knocked out in the first round in the next three.
Saudi Arabia have won the Asian Cup three times in 1984, 1988 and 1996. They also finished runners up in 1992 and 2000 which made it five consecutive finals. Mohamed Al-Deayea, is the world record holder for most international appearances by a male player. |
