Côte d'Ivoire are more commonly known as the Ivory Coast. Their greatest achievement came in 1992 when they managed to win the African Cup of Nations. Côte d'Ivoire now have a lot of highly rated players such as Chelsea Strikers Didier Drogba, Salomon Kalou and Arsenal Defender Kolo Touré.

Côte d'Ivoire managed to qualify for the 2006 World Cup but were entered into the so called Group of Death. Ivory Coast failed to get a result from their first two matches against Holland and Argentina which meant a win against Serbia was not enough to qualify.
