Brazil are officially the most successful national side in the world having won five World Cups and are the only country to play in every World Cup. Brazil's recent victories came in 1990 when they beat Italy on penalties in the final and in 2002 when the defeated Germany 2 - 0 in South Korea.
Brazil have also lost in two World Cup Finals the most recent coming in France in 2002. They lost against the hosts which saw them lose 3 - 0 thanks to some poor marking from set pieces, letting Zinedine Zidane head in two goals from corners. Brazil have also won seven Copa America titles. |
