The World Grand Prix is an event run by the PDC. It is held in October each year and has been staged at the CityWest Hotel in Dublin since 2001. The event was first played in 1998 and the tournament receives live coverage on Sky Sports. The current sponsor is Skybet.

The Grand Prix is unique in that players must start each leg by hitting a double as well as checking out on a double. Phil Taylor has won the title seven times but has also been beaten in the first round on three occasions. The current champion is James Wade who defeated Terry Jenkins in the final.
