Mark Webster was born on August 12th 1983 in St.Asaph, Wales. He is nicknamed Webby and plays left handed. He is a plumber by trade and is yet to turn professional. He first grabbed peoples attention in 2006 reaching the Semi Finals of the World Masters.

After losing in the 1st Round of the 2007 BDO World Championship Webster began to improve. By the 2008 Championship he was seeded number one. He beat defending champion Martin Adams 6 - 4 in the semis before beating Simon Whitlock 7 - 5 to land the title.
