Mike Veitch was born on August 15th 1960 in Scotland. He made his TV debut in the 1992 Lakeside World Championship losing in the first round. His best run in the event came in 2006 when had wins over Ulf Cedar and Stephen Roberts to reach the Quarter Finals.

Veitch was eventually beaten by Martin Adams in the last eight. In 2008 he was beaten in Round One by Scott Waites 1 - 3. Other good performances for the Scot include a Quarter Finals at the 2002 World Masters and a Semi Final appearance at the 2005 World Darts Trophy.
