Jan Van Der Rassel was born on January 5th, 1964 in Holland. He made his TV debut in 2003 and has the nickname 'Tweety Pie'. Van Der Rassel is one of Holland's leading darts players and was number one in the DDF Rankings earning him a place in the World Championship.

He made an impact in 2006 when he beat former Embassy World Champion Steve Beaton in the first round. He then missed over 10 darts at a double to beat John Kuczynski in the second round before eventually losing the match. He has twice played in the UK Open reaching the 2nd round in 2006.
