Raymond Van Barneveld was born on April 20th, 1967 in The Hague, Netherlands. He has won the BDO World Championship four times. He has been regarded as one of the best players in the World for many years and in February 2006 he joined the PDC rankings.

This earnt him a place in the Premier League of Darts where he soon achieved a perfect nine dart finish. He then won his first PDC event the UK Open beating Phil Taylor along the way. He followed this with victory at the 2007 World Championship on his debut again beating Phil Taylor in the final.
