Brian Sorensen was born in Denmark and made his TV debut in 2003. He has played at Lakeside in the BDO World Championship on three occasions, in 2003, 2006 and 2007. On each occasion he has lost in the first round.

Sorensen has always been handed a tough draw losing matches to John Walton, Raymond Van Barneveld and Tony David. His best win came in the 2004 World Masters when he knocked out Gary Anderson.
