Roland Scholten was born on January 11th, 1965 in The Hague, Holland. He made his TV debut in 1992 at the Embassy World Championship. He is nicknamed the Tripod and is one of the most prolific 180 scorers in the game today. He has a very calm demeanor showing little emotion.
Scholten reached the final of the 2001 World Grand Prix but lost to Alan Warriner-Little. He won his first major tournament at the 2004 UK Open defeating John Part in the final. He has performed well in the Premier League reaching the semi-finals in 2005 and finishing runner up in 2006. |
