Dennis Priestley was born on July 16th, 1950 in Mexborough, England. He is nicknamed the Menace as he wears black and red striped shirts. He is twice a world champion winning the 1991 Embassy World Championship and 1994 BDO World Title against Phil Taylor.

Priestley has finished as runner up to Phil Taylor on four occasions since his victory. He is renowned for his slow throwing technique. In 2004 he almost gave up playing darts because of a loss of form. He decided to carry on and since then has seen a return to his best.
