John Part was born on June 29th, 1966 in Toronto, Canada. He made his TV debut in 1994 and has won two World Championships. He won the Embassy World Championship in 1994 as an unknown foreigner and a big outsider. He later joined the PDC in 1997.

In 2001 he reached the final of the PDC World Championship and lost to Phil Taylor. Two years later he inflicted revenge on Phil Taylor beating him 7 - 6 in a epic final. Part is one of few players to beat Taylor on several occasions although he has slipped down the rankings.
