Kevin Painter was born on July 12th, 1967 in Billericay, England. He made his TV debut in 1993 and is nicknamed the artist. He is best known for his epic match against Phil Taylor in the final of the 2004 World Championship. It is regarded as the best final ever.

Painter raced into a 4 - 1 lead in sets but was pegged back by Taylor. The match went into a final leg decider which unfortunately did not go the way of Painter. He has not really been able to progress from this performance and is yet to win a major television tournament.
