Denis Ovens was born on June 1st, 1957 in Enfield, England. He mad his television debut in 2000 and is nicknamed 'The Heat'. Ovens is a very consistent performer on the PDC circuit but he tends to struggle in the major televised tournaments.

He had a very good year in 2005 which saw him rise into the top ten of the world rankings. However since then his performances on TV have been woeful getting knocked out in the first round of the World Matchplay and UK Open.
