Colin Monk was born on September 29th, 1967 in England. He made his TV debut in 1993 and is nicknamed 'The Mad Monk'. Before joining the PDC he played in eleven successive Embassy World Championships and represented his county, Hampshire and country, England.

He won the British, Norweigen, German and Danish Open titles early in his career but has failed to win any of the major television events. He has been in the top 32 of the rankings but has suffered first round defeats in the recent World Championship and UK Open.
