Mick Manning was born in England and made his TV debut in 1994. He played in 8 consecutive PDC World Championships between 1998 - 2005. Only once did he progress beyond the first round in 1999.

Manning had more success in the World Matchplay making it to the second round on five separate occasions. He also reached the last 16 at the World Grand Prix three times and in 2005 he reached the 5th Round of the UK Open.
