Charles Losper was born in South Africa and made his TV debut in 2007. By winning the South African Open that year he gained an invite to some major tournaments. At the Grand Slam of Darts he failed to make an impact losing to Andy Hamilton, Terry Jenkins and Vincent Van Der Voort.

Losper was handed a very difficult first round draw on his PDC World Championship debut in 2008. He came up against former world champion John Part. Losper did manage to win a set before eventually losing 1 - 3. Part went on to win the title.
