Mark Lawrence was born in England and made his TV debut at the 2007 PDC World Championship. He was handed a difficult first round draw against Terry Jenkins.

He put in a good performance averaging 85.92 but eventually losing the match 1 - 3 in sets. Later in the year he reached the 4th Round of the UK Open before losing out to David Platt 7 - 11.
