Per Laursen was born on April 16th, 1966 in Denmark. He has the nickname Peachie and made his TV debut in 2006 at the BDO World Championship. He beat 5th seed Tony Eccles in round one before losing to Shaun Greatbatch in the second round.

Laursen then joined the PDC and played in the 2007 World Championship. He came agonizingly close to a major upset in the second round. He led Dennis Priestley 3 - 1 in sets and had 8 darts to win only to lose the match 3 - 4. In the 2008 tournament he lost in round one to Alan Tabern.
