Dave Ladley was born in England and made his TV debut at the 2007 PDC World Championship. He caused a shock in the first round beating seeded player Lionel Sams 3 - 1.

He nearly caused and either bigger shock in round 2 losing narrowly 3 - 4 to James Wade. Later in the year Ladley reached the 2nd Round of the UK Open losing to out 5 - 8 to Michael Van Gerwen.
