Mark Holden was born on November 20th, 1960 in England. He has the nickname Top Banana and made his TV debut in 2002. That came at the World Grand Prix where Holden had excellent wins over Peter Manley and Rod Harrington before eventually losing to Phil Taylor.

He has twice qualified for the PDC World Championship. His best run came in 2005 when he had wins over James Wade and Simon Whatley on route to the third round. Holden also reached the 5th Round of the UK Open in 2007 which included a win over Andy Jenkins.
