Steve Hine was born on April 20th, 1969 in Coventry, England. He is nicknamed the 'Muffin Man' and made his TV debut in 1996. He had a really successful year in 2005 when he managed to qualify for four out of five of the major televised events.

Despite his success at qualifying for the big tournaments, his results in front of the camera have been disappointing. He is one of the quickest players on the circuit and the experts have recommended that slowing his game down could help his results. He has also represented Warwickshire at county level.
