Andy Hamilton was born on March 16th, 1967 in Stoke-on-Trent, England. He is nicknamed the 'Hammer' and made his TV debut in 2004. Hamilton has really impressed in recent years and got to the Quarter Finals in his World Championship debut in 2004.

In 2006 he became a real threat and produced some excellent performances. He reached the Quarter Finals of the Las Vegas Desert Classic and the Semi Finals of the World Matchplay. He again proved he is one of the top players by reaching the semi finals of the World Championship in 2007.
