Andy Fordham was born on February 2nd 1962 in London, England. He joined the BDO on 1995. He has reached the semi finals of the Lakeside World Championship 4 times and won the title in 2004 beating Mervyn King 6 - 2 in the final.

Fordham also won the World Masters in 1999. In recent years Fordham has suffered from health problems which have been a result of his weight. It was rumoured he would drink 25 bottles of lager before a game. He has not featured on TV in recent seasons but has lost over 10 stone.
