Alan Caves was born on January 5th, 1966 in Hillingdon, England. He made his TV debut in 2003 and is nicknamed 'The Caveman'. His biggest results in his career so far came when he beat Wayne Mardle in the first round of the World Championship in 2007.

Alan Caves has featured several times in the major televised events but has failed to produce his best darts. He made his debut in the World Championship in 2004. He has played in the last three UK Open's and has twice qualified to play in the World Matchplay.
