Jamie Caven was born on March 10th, 1976 in Leicester, England. He has the nickname the Jabba and made his TV debut in 2007. He made a name for himself by qualifying for the 2008 PDC World Championship. He got lots of press as he is blind in one eye and diabetic.

In the first round it was his darts creating the headlines as he thrashed Wes Newton 3 - 0. This earnt Caven a second round clash against Wayne Mardle. He continued his good form from the first round winning the first set. However Mardle's experience proved vital as he beat Caven 4 - 1.
