Shayne Burgess was born on June 1st, 1964 in Hastings, England. He has the nickname the Bulldog and made his TV debut in 1994. He became one of the best players on the PDC circuit in the late 90s. His best run in the PDC World Championship came in 1999.

Burgess came agonizingly close to making it to the final losing 4 - 5 to Peter Manley. He also made it to the Quarter Finals in 1998 and 2000. Burgess did reach the UK Open final in 2003 and the World Grand Prix final in 1999 and 2000. He lost all three and has since fallen outside the top 100 in the rankings.
