Steve Brown was born on January 25th 1981 in Bristol, England. He made his TV debut at the 2008 PDC World Championship. He was beaten in the first round of the tournament by Chris Mason.

Brown also made it to the second round of the UK Open in 2007. He made a big move up the world rankings in 2007. He started the year in 613th place but by November he had climbed up to 76th.
