Jason Barry was born on February 13th, 1975 in Dublin, Ireland. He has the nickname Jacko and made his TV debut in 2007. He qualified for the World Grand Prix from a field of 549 hopefuls. He gave Andy Jenkins an excellent match narrowly losing 1 - 2.

Several weeks later Barry continued his good form to make it through the qualifying for the 2008 PDC World Championships. It was his debut in the event and he was drawn against his countryman Mick McGowan. Barry was well beaten in straight sets 0 - 3.
