Martin Atkins was born on December 24th, 1965 in England. He has the nickname the Assassin and made his TV debut in 2006. He has only ever made it to the second round of the BDO World Championship, a feat he achieved in 2006 and 2007.
He did make it to the semi finals of the 2007 World Masters before losing to Robert Thornton. He went to Lakeside in 2008 as the number 10 seed and was tipped by TV pundit Bobby George as a potential champion. However Atkins failed to get beyond the first hurdle losing to Andy Boulton. |
