Bob Anderson was born on November 7th, 1947 in Winchester, England. He is nicknamed the Limestone Cowboy and made his TV debut in 1982. Anderson was the number one player in the world for over three years in the late 1980's. He won the World Championship in 1988.

In total Bob Anderson has won over 100 tournaments. Despite being one of the veterans on the circuit he is still a very strong player. He proved this by reaching the Semi Finals of the 2004 World Championship. He has also introduced his own tournament, the Bob Anderson Classic.
