World Cup of Darts Preview

The World Cup of Darts gets underway on Friday and sees 24 countries do battle.

England are the odds on favourite and it's no surprise given that they are represented by Phil Taylor and World Champion Adrian Lewis.

Still after the way they flopped in the last staging of this tournament, losing to Spain I will give them a miss.

Australia are the second favourites represented by Whitlock and Nicholson, but as you know if you follow my tips I am not a fan of Nicholson and don't fancy their chances.

Wales could be the team in my opinion. They reached the final of this tournament 14 months ago and that was with Barrie Bates in the team.

He has been replaced by Richie Burnett who actually beat his partner Mark Webster in the World Championship.

Both are solid players and will be tough to beat and at odds of 16/1 they look the value bet in my opinion.

The tournament is on Sky Sports so I will be keeping a close eye and hopefully a few decent bets will pop up along the way.
