CAPPA BLUE CAN GET THE BETTER OF DENMAN |

The big race this weekend is the Hennessy Gold Cup at Newbury and crowd |
pleaser Denman leads the betting at a best price of 4/1 at Paddy Power. Denman |
won the race in 2007 and followed it up with a superb display in the 2008 |
Cheltenham Gold Cup. Things have not gone smoothly since. |

A serious heart problem threatened Denman's career but a lot of hard work from the vet and the trainer and he was |
able to return to competitive racing. Three races have past since and Denman has yet to taste victory. He will be |
carrying top weight tomorrow and we think this will be too much to overcome. |

Instead of backing the favourite our tip is to back Cappa Blue. Evan Williams is the trainer of the horse and will be |
looking for a repeat of 2006 when he won the race with State of Play. Cappa Blue was disappointing when the beaten |
favourite at Aintree but don't look too much into that result. |

That day the conditions were against him and the distance was shorter than ideal. At the Cheltenham Foxhunter in |
March he put in a very impressive performance showing his potential. The horse jumps and stays well and the best is |
still yet to come. He has the advantage of carrying bottom weight and looks good value at 9/1 at William Hill. |
