- Zvonareva's fitness looks to have been a problem for her over this summer.
- This is a match between two Russian players and it can often be dangerous to back a favourite against a compatriot of any nationality, particularly outside of the Grand Slams.
- Kirilenko will know exactly what to expect from Zvonareva and the fact that she's given harder hitters like Williams and Stosur so much trouble in recent weeks means that go into this match with real belief that she can win.
