Pervak had a great week in Tashkent last week winning her first WTA title but now I feel her focus will turn to the Premier event in Tokyo next week. This relatively minor event in China will not be a priority.
She's up against a talented player who will have plenty of support from the Chinese crowd.
Chan was ranked as high as 50 in 2007 and is still only 22 years old.
Pervak leads the head to head 3-0 but the latest match in Indian Wells this year saw Chan win the first set 6-0 before losing out 6-4 in the third.
With home advantage you'd expect her to play well again and possibly win this match.
She's desperate for a win as she's not won a main draw match since the French Open.
She played well at the US Open however, qualifying and then taking a set off Petrova (#25) in the first round.
Pervak may well be tired after her win last week and her travels. It's possible that she's not yet used to the conditions in Guangzhou.
It's quite likely that she will simply tank this match. Virtually every top player tanks from time to time so this would seem to be a good time for her to do so.
I expect a straightforward win for Chan in this match so these odds look to be amazing value.
